Welcome to Rockhampton Art Gallery's 'official' page on Facebook where you can access the latest news, photos and information on current and upcoming exhibitions, programs and events.
The Rockhampton Art Gallery has an extensive permanent collection and showcases renown Australian artists including Jeffrey Smart, Sidney Nolan, Arthur Boyd and Russell Drysdale as well as Japanese art, prints by John Gould and a significant portrait by Lemuel Francis Abbott.
The Gallery's diverse and innovative program of local and national touring exhibitions is accompanied by a program of educational and social activities, including workshops, art films, lectures, performances, receptions and dinners. A modest membership fee entitles Friends of the Gallery to invitations to all gallery events and other special activities.

Our page is an open forum, however we have a few house keeping rules for people using this page:
1. No spam
This means you are not to repost other people's offers, appeals or requests on our site. Any items considered to be spam will be removed from the site. It is also important to note that if you see something offensive on Facebook, please report it to Facebook, do not link it to our page!
2. No links to any non-government page
Council does not have time to check the content of links, therefore any non-government links will be removed.
3. No swearing or threats
We want everyone to be comfortable visiting this page and to be able to access the information we provide. Any comments containing offensive language, swear words or threats will be removed.
This page will be monitored during business hours (8.30am – 5.00pm AEST), Monday to Friday - excluding public holidays, by approved Rockhampton Regional Council staff members at the Rockhampton Art Gallery.
Please note messages from Council’s social media sites, including Facebook are not considered as formal correspondence.
